Another Door Another Path

Today I recieved a letter in the mail. One I had been waiting for quite some time. I had recently applied to a college close by, I had been expecting a letter from them accepting or denying me admissions to their school. It happened to be the latter of the two and all though I should be extremely upset and disheartedned about this I truly am not. I hadnt actually wanted to go to this school and I only applied at the request of my dad. But I think god knew this and helped guide me to my actual path. I may not know it now, but I am sure that eventually he will light my path. I will just focus on things I can improve on right now and help others who are less fortunate then me. As well as explore some new things.

Baby Sophia

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of accompanying my sister to her first baby shower, an event that was positively perfect. One thing I realized during the baby shower is that even though somethings in life are not always planned they can always bring people together to celebrate and enjoy even the most surprising of events. Life is full of hiccups and mishaps but just because one door closes doesn't mean another wont open. If we stopped looking at the closed door and looked around you will be surprised to look around and find another standing open waiting to embrace you for your next journey. In a little less the 6 weeks from now, I will be pleased to embrace the birth of my sure to be beautiful niece Sophia and all though this may have been a small surprise it sure is a joy to know she will be joining us soon. So to those of you who believe that life has been tough or things haven't ever been what they should be, take a moment to think, is there someone worse off then you, is there a way you could make your life better by stopping and taking a look around for that open door, because sometimes as long as we look at the glass half empty we will always see the negative in life.

Food For thought:

“When we love, we always strive to become better than we are. When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.”

Welcome!

Welcome to the first blog post for Intuitions of Life!
To start off the birth of this newly developing blog, here are a few words for thought:

“In my own life, as winters turn into spring, I find it not only hard to cope with mud but also hard to credit the small harbingers of larger life to come, hard to hope until the outcome is secure. Spring teaches me to look more carefully for the green stems of possibility; for the intuitive hunch that may turn into a larger insight, for the glance or touch that may thaw a frozen relationship, for the stranger's act of kindness that makes the world seem hospitable again.”
